A recipient needs printed drawings. Your company holds the file. Between those two facts sits a decision that is easy to underestimate: who does the printing, and where.
A capability is also a path
Printing CUI is not only a printer. It is the machine, the room it sits in, who can walk up to it, what happens to a misprint, and how the finished set is packaged and sent. The same is true of burning a disc, writing a drive, labelling a package and handing it to a carrier.
Build all of that yourself and you have not added one capability. You have added several paths that controlled information travels, and each one is something you set up, maintain and describe when you document how CUI moves through your company.
For a company preparing for a CMMC assessment, that description is not paperwork written once and filed. It is what an assessor reads.
The other option
The other option is to keep the systems you already have and send the awkward part outward.
Your side stays what it was: SharePoint, or encrypted email, or whichever system already holds the file. CUI Move receives the information, performs the format change in house, and manages delivery to the recipient. Instead of printing, media creation, packaging and shipping each being something you run, the transfer becomes one flow that leaves your company.
That is the practical case for using us. It is worth being equally precise about what it does not mean.
What it does not mean
Sending work to an outside provider does not remove that provider from the picture. A company handling your CUI is something you account for, and what that involves depends on your contract, your environment, and the judgement of the people assessing you.
So we are not telling you this shrinks your assessment scope, and we are not telling you what your assessor will accept. Those are determinations you make, about your own environment, with your assessor. What we can tell you is exactly what we do with the information, in what format, and by what method.
You also still determine whether the recipient is permitted to receive the information. Changing the medium does not change that.
What to tell us
If this is the reason you are looking, the details are the same as for any transfer: the format you have, the format the recipient needs, the quantity, and the destination.
Describe the transfer in general terms in a first message. Do not include CUI in a website or email inquiry.
